UAV Aerial Mapping Technology

Zmaps is focusing on innovations with emerging technology, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) photogrammetry, which is a new photogrammetric measurement tool that enables various new applications such as coastal, archaeological, mining, topographical surveying and power lines inspection.

UAV combines aerial photogrammetry and LiDAR provides the possibility to acquire data in dangerous and hard-to-reach areas. This technology is very cost effective rather than hiring an aircraft with photogrammetric/LiDAR equipment. Remotely controlled UAVs are equipped with digital camera, laser scanner, an IMU system, and digital cameras that can generate high density point clouds and high resolution digital images.

Zmaps owns fully automated UAV equipped with laser scanners, camera and inertial navigation system to provide high resolution mapping and accurate three-dimensional data.

In UAV mapping technology, we provide complete services from flight planning, determination of the flight trajectory, quality check of the data, data processing to end deliverables e.g., 3D models, orthoimages for mapping.
